Ask questions so you can make sure they are being up front. Some climates in the USA are mild so summer weather crops can grow all year long but that’s not the case here in NC. We have big plans on how we are going to equip the community to grow their own food, bee keep, chicken keep, preserve the harvest and slow food preparation like sourdough and fermentation. We are also going to feed the community through community gardens and a pay what you can vegetable stand. We are super excited to help people find their way back to the soil and back to the Father (the original gardener!) To get started will take the effort of volunteers and donations and we need help! It’s been a long and painful (and scary!) road f It’s been a long and painful (and scary!) road for our family. My son has had enormous challenges to overcome because of his birth mom’s drinking while pregnant. We finally have broken free of pharmaceutical drugs for him and we are so grateful. I tell our story in two parts on my podcast. It was difficult to talk about it but I KNOW there are moms out there that will benefit from hearing it. Oh I love the fall veggies! Greens like Swiss char Oh I love the fall veggies! Greens like Swiss chard, kale and lettuce love the cooler weather and taste so much sweeter. And my favorite herb cilantro grows so well in the fall! It doesn’t like the heat at all. What’s your favorite fall crop? What are you growing this fall?
